Annapolis Housing and Community Redevelopment Corporation (AHCRC)
The Annapolis Housing and Community Redevelopment Corporation (AHCRC) is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit, created by HACA to assist in supporting resident programs and redevelopment activities. The AHCRC has a seven-member Board of Directors. The AHCRC supports the City of Annapolis and surrounding communities by engaging in the following:
- Support sustain stable and vibrant affordable and low-income housing, consistent with all applicable state and federal safe harbor requirements, and to provide related resident services within such housing facilities which are consistent with community needs and desires;
- Develop, initiate, and operate projects that are in support of the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (“HACA”); and
- Develop and operate community projects which combat community deterioration and assist in neighborhood revitalization, the elimination of structural racism and discrimination.
Accomplishments
2022 - Raised funds to help open the community pool at Harbour House in order to ensure continued programming for local children during the summer.
2023 - Received a generous donation of $5,000 from The Severn Company to fund Tenant Council Events and activities. Also, served as a non-profit affiliate for the substantial renovation of Morris H. Blum, a residential building serving seniors and the disabled.
2025 – Created the Andre Atkins Scholarship Program for youth. To apply, you can download the application for here. Created the Annual Resident Advisory Board and Tenant Council Program Fund to support resident programs.
