March 31, 2020 Board Meeting Update

As we continue to implement precautionary measure to minimize the spread of the coronavirus while continuing to support our clients, this month’s Board Meeting will be conducted as a conference call. Since this is a new format for us, we would like to lay out some ground rules to help things run smoothly.

  • All participants other than the board members and staff members will be muted at the beginning of the meeting.
  • When you dial in to the call, be sure to record your name or we won’t be able to call you when it comes time for comments from the public.
  • When comments from the public are requested, you should press “5*” on the keypad to “raise your hand”. Be patient with us please, we will get to everyone who has a comment, it may just take some time.
  • When comments from the public are requested, individuals will be given two minutes to speak.
  • If the Board Meeting goes into a closed session, all callers other than the participants in the closed session will be disconnected.
  • As required by law, this meeting will be recorded.

New Office Hours

Beginning on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, we will have new office hours. All of our offices will be open Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 8 am to noon.

Newtowne 20 Redevelopment Press Release - November 29, 2018

 Request for Proposals for Regional Project-Based Voucher Program

HACA is a partner with the Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC) and others in the Baltimore Regional Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Program. On behalf of the partners, BMC is seeking qualified and experienced developers to apply for affordable housing subsidies for new construction, substantial rehabilitation, or existing housing.

Proposals must be received by BMC no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Successful applicants may be eligible for scoring incentives in the upcoming 2020 competitive round of Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) awards conducted by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD).

BMC will host a pre-proposal conference for interested developers on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.

    • Eight (8) to Woda Cooper Development, Inc. for Brock Bridge Landing in Jessup
  • November 2017 Awards
    • Fifteen (15) to Volleyball House Apartments, LLLP for Riverwatch II in Elkridge
    • Six (6) to Towne Courts LLC in Annapolis.
