HACA strives to provide quality, affordable housing in safe, attractive communities for eligible families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities based on need and income.
The Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis manages and maintains several waiting lists:
- Public Housing General (all HACA communities)
- Public Housing-Site Based for each individual community owned and managed by HACA
- Congregate Housing
- Obery Court Public Housing-Site Based (owned and managed by Pennrose Management)
- Public Housing Transfer
- Section 8 Tenant Based
- Section 8 Obery Court Project-Based
Note: HACA has opened the waiting lists for Harbour House (2-bedroom only), Morris H. Blum Senior Apartments (55+ years old or 50+ years old and disabled), and Robinwood (4-bedroom only) from April 1, 2018 to April 30, 2018. You can find details on this announcement on our Public Notices page.
HACA owns and manages 790 low income affordable housing units, 331 Tenant-Based Housing Choice Vouchers and 53 Project-Based Vouchers. HACA has four mixed financed communities in partnership with Pennrose Management-Obery Court, 103 units (formerly named Obery Court and College Creek Terrace) and Winn Management-Annapolis Gardens, 150 Units.
How affordable is Public Housing? The formula used in determining rental payment is the highest of the following:
- 30% of monthly adjusted income (after allowed deductions)
- 10% of monthly income or
- Flat Rent (varies by property as determined by market survey)
