Newtowne 20 Demolition Begins in Annapolis, MD 

Pennrose and the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA) have started demolition on Newtowne 20, the public housing site located off Forest Drive in Annapolis, Maryland. Construction on the new residential community is slated to begin in late October. Special Board Meeting Notice:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the HACA’s Board of Commissioners will hold a Special meeting on Thursday, October 8th, for the purposes of approving the Annual Plan as authorized by the Maryland Open Meetings Act 3-305(b)(1) and (8).

Public Hearing

The Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA) has updated its proposed Annual PHA Plan along with minor changes to is Voucher Administrative Plan (Admin Plan) and Public Housing Admissions and Continuing Occupancy Plan (ACOP)  which are sources for HACA’s policies, rules, and requirements concerning HACA’s operations, programs and services.  HACA is seeking public comment on the proposed Plans at a public hearing to be held via video conference on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 5:30 pm, assuming restrictions on gatherings due to COVID-19 remain in effect at that time.  October 2020 Board Meeting Update

As we continue to implement precautionary measure to minimize the spread of the coronavirus while continuing to support our clients, this month’s Board Meeting will be conducted as a conference call. Since this is a new format for us, we would like to lay out some ground rules to help things run smoothly.

  • All participants other than the board members and staff members will be muted at the beginning of the meeting.
  • When you dial in to the call, be sure to record your name or we won’t be able to call you when it comes time for comments from the public.
  • When comments from the public are requested, you should click the chat button at the bottom of the video screen and let us know that you have a comment.
  • When comments from the public are requested, individuals will be given two minutes to speak.
  • If the Board Meeting goes into a closed session, all callers other than the participants in the closed session will be disconnected.
  • As required by law, this meeting will be recorded.

PUBLIC NOTICE - AWARD OF PROJECT-BASED VOUCHERS

The Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis is participating in the Baltimore Regional Project-Based Voucher Program with six other housing agencies and the Baltimore Metropolitan Council. This program has made the following awards of project-based vouchers (PBVs):

The participating Howard County Housing Commission has been recused from decisions in each round of awards because of involvement or potential involvement in a proposal.

New Office Hours
